Obituary of David J. Baudouin

David J. Baudouin, age 81, peacefully entered into eternal rest on March 10, 2022 at Bridgeport Hospital with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Mary Ann (Gniadek) Baudouin for 56 years.

David was born in Bridgeport on October 1, 1940, son of the late Arthur Baudouin and Rose (Quinn) Baudouin. David resided most of his life in Shelton. He was a graduate of Andrew Warde High School and was the owner of The Speakers' Corner LLC, a Sports Placement Service that he founded and successfully ran for over 30 years. Prior to his self-employment, he was an employee of Dictaphone and Avco Lycoming. Dave was an avid softball player, bowler, golfer and longtime Fairfield Prep fan. His favorite pastime, however, was watching his grandsons play sports and he never missed an opportunity to attend a game. He became a friendly fixture in the outfield and in the bleachers, undeterred by such things as travel distance or weather conditions.

In addition to his wife Mary Ann, he is survived by his devoted son Chris and his wife Maura (McCabe) of Monroe, CT; cherished grandsons, Christopher Jr., Alexander and Kyle; his brother Paul and wife Fran of Seymour, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton. At the family's request, face masks are encouraged. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Benderson Family Heart Center at Boston Children's Hospital at https://secure.childrenshospital.org/site/Donation2?df_id=2220&2220.donation=form1 or by mailed check payable to Boston Children's Hospital Trust, 401 Park Drive Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215-5301.
