Jackie was my mentor at Chalk Hill Middle School. I would observe her Science classes during my Prep period. I became a better teacher from these experiences as she had the best skills to both maintain classroom boundaries and enjoy her students at the same time with her amazing humor. I coached basketball with Jackie and she was great! Thank you, Jackie - for being a great teacher, a great coach and a great colleague and friend.

Jackie was a 5th and 6th grade teacher at Monroe Elementary when I was a student there. I was always jealous as on sunny, June days she would take her class outside to play softball. I would just stare out the window and watch them go! Later on, she became a science teacher at Chalk Hill and we would be on the grade 6 team together for many years. She was a great friend and a great teacher and we shared many laughs together. I recently ran into her and she invited me to her house and I was planning on doing that. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. She left us too soon!
