Aunt Marie was truly one of a kind. She was an outstanding lady, a loving and caring Aunt who was always there for us - in the best times and in the saddest of times. Aunt Marie made us feel special, and she always greeted us with the most endearing hug and kiss. The excitement we heard in her voice as we drove into the driveway or as we walked into their house was unmistakable.Visiting her and Uncle Jim and our cousins was the highlight of our summers and holidays when we were growing up. The oatmeal cookies, the kool aid, the ice pops in the fridge, the fresh watermelons, "camping" outside on the back patio - I remember it all as if it were yesterday. We couldn't have asked for a more delightful, fun loving, kind, sincere, and giving Aunt. We are the people and family we are today because we had Aunt Marie who loved us, took interest in our lives, our livelihoods, our relationships, our comings and our goings. With her passing we take comfort knowing that she is joined again with Uncle Jim, and with her brother and with our parents, our grandparents and grand aunts. We love you, Aunt Marie. We will always love you, and we hold special memories of you in our hearts forever.

I want to express my deepest condolences to my cousins, Jim, Tina, Michelle and Lisa. I have only happy memories of your Mom. Whenever I think of her, I remember her laughter and how it would fill a room. We were all so sorry to hear about Marie. She was a great inspiration to me and a mentor. We shared many good times together and she will be greatly missed. We are sorry that we cannot come to the funeral, but Bob's Parkinson's has worsened and he needs attention all day long. We are fortunate to have Tara and Anthony to help us. We would be lost without them. Shaun is a wonderful grandson and adores his Pop-Pop and helps us any way he can. Again, we are so sorry not to be able to be with you all.
