Obituary of Vincent Melita

Vincent Melita, age 80, of Bridgeport, a retired employee for the City of Bridgeport Board of Education and a retired shuttle driver for the Connecticut Post, died Sunday, September 25, 2005 at Milford Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on January 7, 1925, he was a son of the late Rocco and Teresa Moncada Melita and a U. S. Army veteran. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Rose Tufano Melita, a son, Mark Melita and a brother, Michael Melita. Survivors include two sons, James Melita and his wife, Judy of Shelton and Robert Melita and his wife, Ruth of West Haven, a brother, Salvatore Melita of Stratford, seven grandchildren, Corey, Paige, Colin, Stacey, Nonnie, Daniel and Timothy, four great grandchildren, Victoria, Faylynne, Angelina and Katherine as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
