Obituary of Ida E. Medak

Loving Wife, Mother & Grandmother Ida E. Iannarone Medak (ZiZi Ida), age 86, of Trumbull, died peacefully on Monday, June 16, 2008 in St. Vincent Medical Center with her family by her side. Born in Bridgeport on May 24, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Vincent and Antoinette Leonardo Iannarone. Mrs. Medak was a former employee of Bridgeport Brass and Sikorsky Aircraft before her retirement from the former D.M. Reads. A loving wife, mother and most of all a proud grandmother, Ida dedicated herself to the love and care of her family. She always put the needs of her loved ones before herself. Any visit to Zizis house assured something delicious on the table. Survivors include her beloved husband of 50 years, John Medak, a loving daughter, Alberta Clark of Trumbull, a cherished granddaughter, Jennifer, a former son-in-law, John Clark, two special nieces, Christine Pastor and Kimberly Trimble as well as several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins and dear friends. She was predeceased by brothers, Albert and Louis Iannarone and sisters, Phyllis Manente and Jean Riccio. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
