Obituary of John J. McLaughlin

Resident of Trumbull John J. McLaughlin age 71, of Trumbull, a retired employee of Arnolds Bakery with 44 years of service, died on August 1, 2011 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Port Chester, NY on May 17, 1940, he was a son of the late Patrick and Margaret Coakley McLaughlin. A member of the bakers union, he loved gardening, especially tending to his roses. He was also an avid New York Mets baseball fan and a devoted Catholic. John had a great sense of humor and was never at a loss for words. He was a devoted brother and uncle who will be deeply missed. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Emmelina Molina McLaughlin and a brother, Patrick McLaughlin Jr. Survivors include his cherished sister and brothers, Nellie Tyburski and her husband Frank of Trumbull, William McLaughlin and his wife Janis of IL, Denis McLaughlin and his wife Mary Lee of MN and Edward McLaughlin and his wife Jean of Rye Brook, NY, nieces and nephews, Frank Tyburski Jr., Matthew, Kelly, Megan and Daniel McLaughlin, as well as several great nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 8:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Greenwich. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
