Obituary of Mary Louise Mastronardi

Bridgeport Resident Mary Louise (Marylou) Clarkson Mastronardi, age 56, of Bridgeport, passed away on August 26, 2008 in St. Vincent Medical Center with her family and friends at her side. Born in Bridgeport on November 7, 1951, she was a daughter of the late William H. and Dorothy Frank Clarkson. Mary was a gentile soul. She always tried to help everyone who needed her, even if it meant she had to go without. She would listen to anyone who wanted to talk and never asked for anything in return. She was a genuine friend to all. Her personal strength and courage amazed us. She seemed to know the answer to every question and her sense of humor usually brought us to tears. She will be greatly missed. Survivors include her daughters, Dawn Mastronardi of Shelton, and Brandy Mastronardi of Bridgeport, a special son, Bruce Comboni of Shelton, brothers, Raymond Clarkson and his wife Mamie, of Riverview FL, Albert Clarkson and his wife Patricia, of Milford, Laurence Clarkson and his wife Judy, of Dunmore PA, her sister, Patricia Musbek and her husband Thomas, of Stratford, and a brother-in-law Alex Parker of Bridgeport, several nieces and nephews, and very special friends, Linda Eldridge, and Mary Ann Biley. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday, August 29, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Ambrose Church, 1596 Boston Ave., Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. There will be no calling hours. Donations Information In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions be made to an assistance fund for her daughter Brandy, to the Swim Across the Sound Fund or to the St. Ambrose Food Kitchen.
