Obituary of Harry Magazian

Magazian Harry Magazian, age 82, of Milford, formally a Monroe resident for 55 years, went to be with the Lord on September 10, 2005 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford after a prolonged illness. He was the beloved husband of Marie Piccirillo Magazian for 55 years. Harry was born in Athens, Greece on December 16, 1922, came to Bridgeport, Connecticut at 6 months old with his mother, father, brother and sister, all who predeceased him. Harry graduated from Derby High School, Derby, Connecticut. He also attended Bridgeport Engineering Institute in Bridgeport, Connecticut. He worked at Heim Universal in Fairfield for 31 years, then moved to Torrington and worked 14 years for Ingersol Rand. After retiring, Harry was able to indulge his passion for golf and bowling. Harry was a Past Master of the Masonic Lodge #19 in Monroe, he was a Shriner and a member of the Scotish Rite, as well as an assistant Boy Scout Leader in Monroe. He served the Town of Monroe on the Planning and Zoning Commission. He was also a member of the Monroe Exchange Club.

Beside his beloved wife Marie, Harry is survived by his son, Victor Magazian and his wife Cheri of Shelton, Connecticut, his granddaughter Jennifer Cipriano and her husband Pietro III and his great grand children Isabella and Pietro Cipriano IV, of East Meadow, Long Island, NY and step grand children, Brian Ramatowski, Jennifer Supernaw, Jessica Supernaw and John Gagner. 

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at 10 a.m. directly in North Park Baptist Church, 5160 Park Ave., Bridgeport. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
