Obituary of Richard B. Lush
Richard B. Lush, age 87, of Monroe, a retired salesman for the U.S. Steel Co., died on Saturday, June 11, 2005. Born in Bridgeport, he was a son of the late Harry R. and Mary Bradley Lush, a was a member of the Bassick High School Class of 1936 and graduated from Blue Field College, Virginia in 1940. Mr Lush was a World War ll U.S. Army veteran and received a Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal, Asiatic Pacific Theater Campaign Ribbon and the American Theater Campaign Ribbon. He was a member of the Bridgeport Old Timers A.A., VFW Post 10059, and for 35 years conducted an annual reunion for fellow CT Army veterans.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 48 years, Anne Breslin Lush, a special nephew, Dennis Gallagher and a special niece, Maureen Breslin Reilly, and many additional nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. The family extends special thanks to the nurses and aides of the East Wing at Carolton Convalescent Center, Fairfield for the dedicated care they provided.
Relatives and friends can meet directly in St. Stephen Church, Trumbull on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at 11:30 am for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Monday from 5-8 p.m. in Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull
