Obituary of Joseph V. Lopresti
Joseph V. Lopresti, Jr., age 88, beloved husband of Josephine Cino Lopresti of Trumbull, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at St. Vincent Medical Center with his family by his side. Born in Bridgeport on March 8, 1925, he was a son of the late Guiseppe and Anna Dolcimascolo Lopresti. He was a United States Army Sergeant of World War II serving in the Cannon Company 320th Infantry Regiment and participated in the campaigns of Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. Before his retirement he owned and operated Formal Cleaners of Bridgeport for over 40 years. Joe was a longtime parishioner of Christ the King Church and a member of the Trinacria Mutual Aid Society.
In addition to his wife Josephine of 64 years, survivors include his three loving children, Anne Marie Lopresti, Joseph V. Lopresti, III of Washington, CT, Angelo Lopresti and his wife Ellen of Providence, RI, a brother, Thomas Lopresti of Palm Bay, FL, two sisters, Kay DElia and Josephine Piazza, both of Bridgeport, nine grandchildren, Joey, Krissy, Nicholas, Jaclyn, Melissa, Arky, Andrew, Luella and Sofia and five great grandchildren, Enzo, Kaleb, Kayleah, Liliana and Logan as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Frances Capozzoli. Funeral Information
Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full military honors will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. Donations Information
