Obituary of Vincenza Lombardo

Bridgeport Resident Vincenza Zully Marrone Lombardo, age 85, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Lombardo, died on Monday September 4, 2006 peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Brooklyn, NY on January 24, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Vincenzo and Maria Benfonte Marrone and was a longtime resident of Bridgeport. Mrs. Lombardo was active in providing senior aid at the Jewish Home for the Elderly of Fairfield. Zully was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister who will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her husband she was pre-deceased by two brothers Joseph and Nicholas Marrone. Survivors include her four devoted sons, Joseph Lombardo of Bridgeport, Vincent Lombardo and his wife Elaine of Stratford, Lawrence Lombardo of West Haven, Anthony Lombardo and his wife Donna of Fairfield; two sisters, Mary Spetrino and Anna Lanese both of Trumbull; a brother-in-law, James Lombardo of Bridgeport; a sister-in-law, Kay Marrone of Fairfield; eight loving grandchildren, Joseph Lombardo and his wife Janice, Larene Paolini and her husband Kenneth, Wendy Lombardo, Vincent Lombardo, Jr., Tracy Roman and her husband Michael, Keith Lombardo and his wife Nicole, Michelle Lee Lombardo and Anthony J.R. Lombardo; ten great grandchildren, Carly and Joseph Lombardo, Haley, Tyler and Brandon Paolini, Michaela, Mickey and Macklin Roman, Julia and Luca Lombardo and a niece Maryann Ramik and a nephew Richard Lanese as well as several additional nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Monday September 11, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Andrew Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Sunday from 3-7 p.m.
