Obituary of Helen A. Andrea

Helen Adela Brechlin Andrea, age 87, of Tom's River, NJ, and formerly of Ansonia and Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Richard N. Andrea, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 19, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Stratford on April 27, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Wilma Erst Brechlin. Helen was a retired office manager/bookkeeper for the Hillel Academy. Helen was a dedicated parishioner of Grace Bible Church, having served as the Treasurer, Deacon, and soloist. She sang with the Singing Sweethearts and the Harrmonettes. Survivors include her three loving sons, Thomas Andrea and his wife Fran, Richard J. Andrea. and Benedetto (Benny) Andrea Jr., and his friend Lisa. Six cherished grandchildren, Jason, Samantha, Danielle, Joy, Carina, and Anthony, nine adored great grandchildren, Ryan, Bryn, Jaeden, Riley, Jamison, Tanner, Mason, Jake. and Zac. Three siblings, Robert Brechlin and his wife Judy, Louise Misur, and Carl (Babe) Brechlin, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Anthony Andrea, and a sister, Charlotte Sheldon. Funeral services will take place on Monday, January 27, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
