Obituary of Lois S. Heiden

Lois Sportini Heiden, age 81, of Trumbull, beloved wife of Paul W. Heiden Jr., passed away peacefully on Monday, January 6, 2025 with family by her side. Born on November 29, 1943 in Bridgeport, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Kate Bonitatibus Sportini, and was a longtime town resident.

Lois worked in food service for Trumbull Public Schools for over 32 years at both Daniels Farm Elementary and Trumbull High School. Lois took great pride and joy in hosting and entertaining friends and family regularly at many holiday and special occasion celebrations where she shared her passion for cooking and baking. She was also particularly fond of spending time with friends and family at her beachfront property in Panama City Beach Florida where many memories for a lifetime were made. In addition, she was a longtime parishioner at Christ the King Church where she joined in 1965 and attended faithfully and regularly until recently.

In addition to her husband Paul, she survived by her loving sons, Dave Heiden of Southbury and Tim Heiden and his wife Mary of Old Say Brook, six grandchildren, Jack, Ben, Will, Annie, Nolan and Kate, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Nicholas Sportini.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. directly in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Ave., Trumbull.
