Obituary of Edward A. Lisi

Trumbull Resident Edward Angelo Lisi of Trumbull, age 93, devoted husband of 63 years to Anna Caldaroni Lisi, died peacefully on Saturday, March 27, 2010. Son of the late Dominic and Mary Piacitelli Lisi, he was born on January 1, 1917 in Dupont, Pennsylvania. He served in the US Army in the South Pacific during WWII, retired from Producto Machines in Bridgeport and spent a large portion of his career working as a design engineer at Dictaphone in Bridgeport where one of his proudest accomplishments was designing a breath-controlled wheelchair for paraplegics. He was a faithful member of Holy Rosary Church in Bridgeport and also a member of the Mother Cabrini Council of the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid reader and a brilliant thinker, and he enjoyed vacation cruises with his wife. In addition to his wife, he leaves his devoted children: Ann & Michael Purr of Stone Mountain, Georgia and their children: Ann Marie and Michael Martin; Edward and Margherita Lisi of Orange, Connecticut and their children: Juliana, Marc and Kate; Dominic and Robin Lisi of Trumbull, Connecticut and their children: Diana and Pamela; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by eleven brothers and sisters, including: Ethel Cumbo, Ernest Lisi, Asunda Cumbo, Dan Lisi and John Lisi. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 9:00 a.m in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and 10:00 a.m in Holy Rosary Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment with military honors will follow in St. Michael Cemetery Garden Mausoleum, Stratford. Relatives and friends may call on Monday, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Donations Information In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Rosary Church Restoration Fund, 365 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06608.
