Obituary of Andrew P. Gatto

Andrew P. Gatto died peacefully on Wednesday, December 18th, 2024, in his Bridgeport home of 62 years surrounded by his loving family. Andy was born in Boston on March 21st, 1930. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Gatto. He worked at St. Vincent's Medical Center and retired after many years of service. Andy was also a charter member of the Patient and Family Advisory Board of St. Vincent's and continued to volunteer for many years after retirement and right up to his passing.

Andy is survived by his sister and her husband Rosemarie and Robert Petrasy of Shelton CT, his son Joseph Gatto and his husband Ian McNeal of Baltimore, MD, son-in law Allan Ward of Meriden, CT, as well as many nieces and nephews and two loving caregivers and un-official daughter & grandson Kathy Maraia and her son Danny DeLoma of Bridgeport, CT. Andy was predeceased by his loving wife Regina Gatto and their children Andrew (Drew) Gatto, and Donna Ward.

Friends may call on Sunday, January 5, 2025 from 1-4 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. A Prayer Service will take place on Monday, January 6, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Entombment will be private.
