Obituary of Jose Manuel Herrera-Sotelo
Jose Manuel Herrera-Sotelo, age 48, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Erika Alvarez Medero. Born in Mexico on February 15, 1976, he was a son of Ofelia Sotelo of Mexico.
Jose was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching bull riding and rooting for his favorite soccer team Barcelona. He was a talented carpenter and had the gift of being able to work with his hands. He worked on his cars or anything that needed to be fixed. He was a family man and loved spending time with family especially with his grandson Dylan.
In addition to his loving wife Erika, survivors include his two beloved sons, Jose Herrera and Alexis Herrera, brothers, Ramiro Herrera Sotelo and his wife Marisela Bustos, Usiel Trujillo Sotelo, a sister, Liliana Herrera Sotelo and a cherished grandson, Dylan Herrera. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Suriel Herrera, Angel Herrera, Erik Herrera and Nicole Hererra as well as many other nieces, nephews and cousins in the United States and Mexico.
Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday, November 3, 2024 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 4, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. directly in St. Mary Church, 25 Sherman Street, Bridgeport.
