Obituary of Benjamin T. Lindley

Benjamin Thomas Lindley, Sr., age 86, of Newport News, VA, formerly of Trumbull, a retired logistics engineer for Sikorsky Aircraft, died on Saturday, August 27, 2005. Born in Canton, PA on August 17, 1919, he was a son of the late Robert and Marion Lindley. A U. S. Navy veteran with a 20 year career, he served in World War II and the Korean War. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Mary (Daisy) Gencarelli Lindley and a brother, Sheldon Lindley. Survivors include a son, Benjamin T. Lindley, Jr. and his wife, Stephanie of Monroe, four daughters, Susan Jackson and her husband, Randy of Panama City, FL, Sally John and her husband, Phil of Anchorage, AK, Gina Harucki and her husband, Ben of Newport News, VA and Mary Ellen Rolleri and her husband, Andy of Bridgeport, three sisters, Joanne Roper of California, Lucy Baumunk of Shunk, PA and Lois Johnson of Canton, PA, eight grandchildren, Scott, Keri, Ryan, Douglas, Brittany, Tyler, Jessie & Katie and three great grandchildren, Alexis, Joshua and Aliya. 

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, September 1, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment with full military honors will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.
