Judith (Halica) Montabana, age 74, of Orange passed away peacefully on Monday, June 24, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the longtime companion of Gary Tompkins of Orange. Born in Bridgeport on September 11, 1949 she was the daughter of the late John "Pete" and Victoria (Sosnowski) Halica. Judy had been employed by Southern Connecticut Dental Group, where she worked as an office manager for many years before her retirement. Judith was proud to have belonged to the choir group at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, where she built many friendships with others that shared a similar interest.

Judy enjoyed doing anything that involved spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored. Grammy was at every game, she could make, supporting and cheering on Bryce & Kendall. She also always looked forward to heading down to Florida to spend as much time as she could with Tyler, Evan and Mason. Grammy Judy thoroughly enjoyed her babysitting time with Seann and Sicilia. A loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend of many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her loving children, John Montabana and his wife Amy of Port St. Lucie, FL, Daniel Montabana and his wife Meaghan of North Haven and Jenna Tompkins and significant other Seann Lisi of Orange, her adored grandchildren, Tyler, Evan, Mason, Bryce, Kendall, Seann and Sicilia, her brothers, John Halica and his wife Julianne of BoothBay Harbor, ME, and Tom Halica and his wife Cathy of Bridgeport.
