Obituary of Rosa Muscarella
Rosa Esposito Muscarella, age 75, of Monroe, beloved wife of the late Filippo A. Muscarella, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 5, 1948, in Bella di Nicastro, Provincia di Cantanzaro, Calabria, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Francesco and Angela Stella Esposito. Rosa immigrated to the United States on May 5, 1958 and settled in Bridgeport.
A retired bank teller, Rosa worked for many area banks before her retirement. In her retirement, she took on her greatest job, the care and love of her family. She was a very selfless woman, always giving and sacrificing her own needs for that of her family. She enjoyed when the family was together celebrating holidays, birthdays, Sunday dinners, creating memories to last a lifetime. She was at her best when her grandchildren were by her side. Nonna loved cooking for family and friends and her rice balls were always a hit. She loved watching her Italian Soaps and her many trips to the casino with family and friends. But above everything, Rosa was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend of many. The unconditional love she gave and the values she taught will forever live in their hearts. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her loving daughters, Biagina Dell'Aera and her husband Rocco of Bristol, Angela Bacoulis and her husband Joseph of Monroe, and Lina Buzzelli and her husband Marc of Shelton, five cherished grandchildren, Judy, Alexa, Anthony, Julia and Anthony, brothers and sisters, Giovanni Esposito and his wife Silvana of Monroe, Vincenzo Esposito of Shelton and Antonio Esposito and his wife Helen of Monroe, and Maria Cammarota and her husband Alfonso of Fairfield, her brothers and sisters-in-law, Francesco Muscarella and his wife Anna of NY, Natale Muscarella and his wife Josephine of Long Island and Giuseppe Muscarella and his wife Gerry of Shelton, Cecilia Fragale of Monroe and Anna Reda and her husband Pasquale of Monroe, and Angelina Muscarella of NY, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers and sister-in-law, Filippo Fragale and Paul Muscarella and his wife Anna.
