Obituary of Clifford F. Platt

Clifford Fenton Platt, 82, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2024. Cliff was born on September 16, 1941, in Milford to the late John and Mildred Platt. He worked as a plumber and managed his own business for many years before his retirement.

Cliff was very creative and often brought an element of surprise and humor to his family's life. He enjoyed many hobbies including classic cars, caring for pets, painting, woodworking, candle making, walking, spending time by the water and gathering with family. He was a devoted husband to Nancy and lovingly cared for her during her illness with Alzheimer's disease for many years. He was a loving father and grandfather with a kind spirit and a playful sense of humor that touched many hearts. He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him.

His family would like to thank all the wonderful loving people at Mosaic Senior Life, especially his closest caretakers for their ongoing care, kindness, and support.

Survivors include his beloved children, Karen Lika Clough and husband Chris of Fairfield, David Platt and husband Douglas Tamo of Walnut Creek, CA and Christopher Platt and husband Robert Dorman of West Hollywood, CA, his cherished grandson, Ronnie Clough of Fairfield, and several loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Platt, father, John Platt, mother, Mildred Platt, and sister Jackie Ruhter.

An event to celebrate Cliff's life will be planned for later this year. Arrangements in care of the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
