Just finding out today of Nancy’s passing. She was such a sweet woman. Always a smile. Caring. So very sad she is no longer with Tom or us.

Nancy was a very thoughtful and engaging person who was comfortable in any situation. She should also be commended and remembered for her dedication to the City of Shelton and its citizens when she served as Alderman.

With our deepest sympathy to the wonderful Minotti and Smeraglino extended families. Many, many great memories in High School and CYO. Even with the large Smeraglino family, Nancy's parents always welcomed us extras that frequently showed up at the house - even late at night. They showed us what family meant, and that was obviously carried on to the next and the next generations. A wonderful life and she will be missed.

It is said that a person’s life can be measured by whether they gave more than they received. From my perspective, as her Nephew, Aunt Nancy led a most successful life. She was generous, caring, passionate and thoughtful. The obituary does not mention that, for a time, she was also an elected Public Servant. She and Uncle Tom were kind enough to give me a plant that is displayed in the Office of my new business. I have watered it every day for the last two years; it continues to give me peace in a tumultuous world. I love you Aunt Nancy and, although saddened by your passing, am comforted knowing that you have been given eternal rest.

Tom I am deeply sorry to hear of Nancy's passing. I will always remember Nancy's beautiful smile and her wave "hello" at exercise class. She was a trooper to the end doing the exercises the best she could despite her illness. She will be missed. Tom, Nancy was blessed to have you at her side. Your love for each other was strong and visible to all. Wishing you and your family peace and comfort during this difficult time. With heartfelt condolences. Chris K. ( Strength Training Classes)

I can’t find the words to express how sorry I am for your loss. Nancy's legacy of kindness and love will continue to inspire us all. May you all find strength in the shared memories. Losing a parent is an unimaginable pain. Remember her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. She is now playing cards with my parents. A true Angel ❤️ Love, Lynn, Ed & Family XOXO ❤️❤️
