Obituary of Nellie Helen Tyburski

Nellie McLaughlin Tyburski, age 86, of Trumbull, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at her home. She was the beloved wife of Frank J. Tyburski. Born in Portchester, NY, on September 11, 1937, she was the daughter of Patrick and Margaret McLaughlin. Nellie was a switchboard operator and manager at AT&T and later employed by Moore Special Tool of Bridgeport, where she worked as a switchboard operator for more than 15 years before her retirement.

Nellie found enjoyment tending to her flower gardens and took great pride in the care and upkeep of her home. She enjoyed traveling, having visited Disney World three times in the past three years with her granddaughter, Jessica Tyburski Ferraro. She was a fan of cruises, having traveled often to the Caribbean with her late husband. She was active in the Monroe and St. Theresa senior groups, enjoying many of the planned events and excursions.

Nellie was predeceased by her beloved husband of 49 years, Frank J. Tyburski, and brothers John and Patrick McLaughlin. She is survived by her son, Frank A. Tyburski and his wife Lisa Acerbo of Trumbull, her two cherished granddaughters, Jessica Tyburski Ferraro and Dominique Martin, her brothers Edward, William, and Denis, their families, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
