Obituary of Mary Ann Lewis

Mary Ann (Companik) Lewis, age 89, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late George Lewis, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 8, 2024 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. Mary Ann and George are now reunited on what is their 67th wedding anniversary. Born in Bridgeport on April 26, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Florence (Santacroce) Companik. A true matriarch in every sense of the word, Mary Ann's primary role was to be wherever she was needed, putting the needs of others before her own. Her greatest joy was found in the time she spent surrounded by her family and having spent 87 years in the same home, in some capacity with her beloved sister Genevieve is a testament to this fact. The unconditional love, support and knowledge of making Christmas cookies and establishing family traditions will continue to be passed to future generations. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend of many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her three loving daughters, Diane Pecora and her husband Brian, Mary Ann Ruospo and her husband Joe and Linda Seaman and her husband Rodney, her son-in-law, Idilio DeVellis, ten cherished grandchildren, Kelly (Michael), Kaitlin (John), Matthew (Sara), Daniel, Nicholas, Steven, James, Nicole (Nicholas), Kimberly (Casey), Shane, five adored great grandchildren, Layla, Nathan, Natalie, Charlotte, Keegan, a brother Charles Companik and his wife Ann, a sister, Genevieve Companik, as well as several nieces and nephews.
