Obituary of Sarah Elizabeth Morales
Sarah Elizabeth (Gillespy) Morales, age 35, of West Haven passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Michael E. Morales. Sarah was born in Costa Rica on February 21, 1988, she was the daughter of the late Mary (Larson) Gillespy and Thomas G. Gillespy of Shelton. Sarah obtained her Bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of New Haven before beginning her career as a crime analyst with the City of West Haven for over 10 years. She enjoyed cooking and sharing her recipes and food photography in her social media blogs. She was an avid book reader and loving cat mom too her two precious cats, Perseus and Winter, they will certainly miss her undeniable affection. A loving daughter, wife, sister, niece, cousin and friend of many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her beloved husband Michael E Morales of over 10 years of West Haven and her father Thomas Gillespy and his loving partner Apollonia Laufer of Shelton, other survivors include her aunt, Desiree Ferron and her husband Lucien of West Haven and several cousins and close friends. In addition to her mother Mary (Larson) Gillespy, she was also predeceased by her twin brother, Matthew T. Gillespy.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 11:00 am in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Wednesday afternoon from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
