Obituary of Antoinette T. Roman

Antoinette Ferraro Roman, age 90, of Seymour, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 16, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late George J. Roman Jr, who was waiting for her with a white rose. Born in Bridgeport on April 14, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Ana Fortivo Ferraro

Antoinette spent most of her life and raised her family in Bridgeport before moving to Seymour. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and of course never refused a trip to the casino. As a snowbird, she spent the warmer months in Connecticut and enjoyed spending winters in Tucson, AZ.

Survivors include her loving daughters, Linda Colon Mauro (Tony), Mary Pereira (Manuel), Kathleen Jones, and Annette Morrison (Jonathan), nine cherished grandchildren, Eric, Angelo and Anthony Colon, James Morrison, Danielle Pereira, Krista Gacek (Andrew), Lauren Jones (Jason Blanck), Samantha Morrison and RJ Jones, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, a brother, Phillip Ferraro (Judy), a sister, Rose Marie Wallin (Ronald), as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband of 62 years, she was predeceased by a brother, Anthony Ferraro and three sisters, Theresa Martin, Francis Maiocco and Mary Ruesch.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 26, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in St Margaret's Shrine, 2523 Park Ave., Bridgeport. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
