Obituary of John P. Stolze

John P. Stolze, age 83, of Waterbury, beloved husband of the late Kathryn Hull Stolze, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2024 with his loving family by his side. Born on November 22, 1940 in Williamsburg, Virginia, he was a son of the late Edward and Cleo Prosoco Reilly. A proud U.S. Navy veteran, John was a graduate of Bassick High School and after his service to his country, earned his degree at Housatonic Community College. He was formerly employed by Therma Tool Manufacturing, Neil Tran Manufacturing and retired as traffic manager for Shultzie Manufacturing.

John was an avid golfer and a loyal fan of the Washington Redskins. But above all things he was a loving father and grandfather. He treasured time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. John will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his three loving sons, Douglas Stolze and his wife Sharon, Andrew Stolze and Matthew Stolze and his wife Chin and their mother, Sharon Stolze, four adored grandchildren, Hunter, Reilly, Lindsey and Owen, two brothers, Ralph Stolze (Sandy), Tom Reilly (Gulzira), two sisters, Phyllis Reilly and Margaret Schneider (Walt), as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Gathering celebrating John's life will take place on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 5 – 7 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Military honors will be rendered at 6:45 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Norma F.
