Obituary of Margaret M. Recchia

Margaret M. (Dennis) Recchia, age 94, of Milford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred J. Recchia, Sr. Born in Bridgeport on May 3, 1929, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna (Mintell) Dennis and was a longtime resident of Milford.

Margaret enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and attributed them to keeping her mind sharp. She could easily be picked out of a crowded room or found in a store by her children from her gorgeous red hair. Her greatest joy was talking about how proud she was of all of her grandchildren’s accomplishments. She was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

Survivors include her five beloved children, Glenn Recchia, Gary Recchia and his partner Shari Burghardt, David Recchia and his wife Diane, Margo Concepcion and her husband Joseph and Alfred J. Recchia, Jr., a brother, Robert Dennis and his wife Beverly, five loving grandchildren, Denis, Kate, Joey, Keya and Karly and 9 cherished great grandchildren, Ava, Adam, Reed, Finnegan, Varrick, Larkin, Paxley, Roman and Della and awaiting great grandchild #10, Mila as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, George Dennis and a daughter-in-law, Suzanne Kent Recchia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary Church of The Most Precious Blood Parish, 70 Gulf Street, Milford.
