Obituary of Beatrice M. Krafcik

Beatrice Madar Krafcik, age 98, a Trumbull resident for many years and most recently of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Anthony J. Krafcik, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 5, 2023. Born on January 27, 1925 in Bridgeport, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Josephine Kochiss Madar. She was a retired sales manager at the former Bead Chain Manufacturing Co., with over 36 years of dedicated service. She blazed a trail as one of the first female sales managers in her company to lead a team of salesmen. Beatrice enjoyed traveling extensively with her husband, and later with friends. She was a volunteer for many years at St. Joseph's Center and also a member of the Bible study group. She was dedicated to her faith and prayed the rosary daily. An original parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena in Trumbull, she was active with the Ladies Guild and prayer lines group. An avid reader, she was never without a book in hand. A loving wife, sister and aunt, she will be deeply missed.

Survivors include two nephews, David Madar and his wife Deborah and Richard Madar and his wife Sharon, her cousin and devoted friend, Alice Marie Kuzma, sister-in-law, Marion Krafcik, as well as great nephew Michael Madar and his wife Elizabeth and great niece Nicole Madar. She is also survived by great great niece Katherine Madar and great great nephew John Madar. She was predeceased by her loving brother and best friend Raymond and his wife, Margaret Madar.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Nichols Village Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
