Obituary of Gary D'Eramo

Gary J. D'Eramo, age 67 of West Haven, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 28, 2023. Born in Bridgeport on March 2, 1956, he was a son of the late Orest and Elsie (Suffoletti) D'Eramo.

Gary was a dedicated plumbing and heating mechanic who worked alongside his Dad and brothers for many years. He was gifted at his trade; friends and family knew who to call with plumbing and heating issues which he readily helped out with. He loved fishing, classic old movies, the Yankees, and taking care of the family dogs. He was a devoted son, companion and bingo partner to his Mom during the last years of her life. He was a fun friend to so many with a big and generous heart. He loved his daughter and was a loving brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and cousin and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his daughter Megan D'Eramo Casini and her husband Steve, siblings Michael D'Eramo and wife Christine of FL, Gail D'Eramo Melkus and husband Carl of Orange, and Eric D'Eramo and wife Suzanne of Sandy Hook, his cherished nieces Stephanie Melkus Hashemi and husband David, Lauren Melkus Boyle and husband Timothy, Jillian D'Eramo, Caitlin D'Eramo, Briana D'Eramo Duhan and husband Chris, and Erica D'Eramo and husband Matthew Skinner, nephews Ian Collins, Brett Collins and Luke Collins, great nephews Jaxon and Leo Hashemi, loving cousins Lola Mencarelli Szobota and husband John of NJ, Robert Mencarelli and wife Cynthia of Bridgeport, as well as several additional cousins.
