Obituary of Susan Fee Beninco

Susan Fee Beninco, 82, of Bridgeport, Connecticut and formerly of Greenwich and Stamford, Connecticut, passed away after an extended illness on August 17, 2023.

Born on July 17th, 1941, in Brooklyn she was the beloved daughter of Walter and Marie Fee.

Susan is survived by Ron, her husband of nearly 20 years and her four loving children and spouses, Susan Fitzpatrick Wexler (Ron) of Rye, New York; Thomas Fitzpatrick (Terri) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Christine Fitzpatrick of St. Louis, Missouri; Kevin Fitzpatrick (Christine) of Queens, New York and her seven beloved grandchildren, Ryan, Colin, Caitlin, Catie, Erin, Michael and Grace.

Susan is also survived by her brother, Jerry Fee of Malvern, New York and his daughter, Donna Fee Selle of East Islip, New York and had been predeceased by her sister, Marianne Fee Madden of Valley Stream, New York and niece, Linda Fee Cosentino of Long Island, New York.

Susan attended Floral Park Memorial High School in Floral Park, New York.

Susan was a devoted and loving mother to her four children as well as their spouses and friends whom she always guided and took care of in an amazingly graceful, faithful and unwavering manner, particularly during the time of their childhoods into their adulthoods, when she helped establish a home base for all of them on Londonderry Drive in Greenwich, a place that was always rich with heart and filled food, laughter and people.

Susan was also extremely devoted to her seven grandchildren who lovingly call her 'Bee' and who had a wonderful time visiting with her, as she would spend hours with them reading, cooking, relaxing, talking extensively, enjoying the outdoors and nurturing and watching over them.

Over the years, Susan served as a Eucharistic Minister, Lector and employee at St. Bridget of Ireland Roman Catholic Parish in Stamford and a Eucharistic Minister at St. Andrew Parish in Bridgeport. She also spent many years using her creative talents and love of flowers working as a floral designer.

Susan was also a longtime volunteer at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport where she would bring volunteers and staff members her popular homemade fleece blankets as well as delicious cookies and birthday cakes.

All throughout her life, Susan shared her generous heart with everyone with whom she encountered, reflecting her loving spirit and devoted faith in God.

Relatives and friends are invited to Susan's Funeral Service that will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023 at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew Parish, 395 Anton Street in Bridgeport, CT.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be gratefully made in Susan's memory to one of her favorite charities, Giving Tree Global (Bread of Life) at givingtreeglobal.org.
