Obituary of Thomas N. LaTulipe

Thomas N. LaTulipe, age 79, of Shelton, a retired sergeant for the Norwalk Police Department with over 25 years of service, died on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at his home. Born in Mount Kisco, New York, he was a son of the late Thomas E. and Clara Mae Dorman LaTulipe.

After his retirement from the police force, he along with his son owned and operated Norwalk Radiator and Welding. He was the former president of the Police Benevolent Association, was very active in the Make A Wish Foundation and along with his wife and family was an avid camper. Tom was devoted to the love and care of his family and was an inspiration to everyone he met. He will be sadly missed by all.

He was pre-deceased by his son Thomas W. LaTulipe, a sister Edith LaTulipe Polley and a brother Douglas LaTulipe.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 57 years, Matilda Louise Arndt LaTulipe, two daughters, Judy Sul of Shelton and Nancy LaTulipe and her husband Todd Perkins of Ansonia, a daughter-in-law, Teri LaTulipe of Shelton, seven grandchildren, Allison and Tommy LaTulipe, Brandon, Brian and Emily Perkins and Joe and Eddie Sul, as well as several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 10:30 a.m. in the Huntington United Methodist Church, 338 Walnut Tree Hill Road, Shelton. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
