Obituary of Michael J. Camerino, Jr.

Michael J. Camerino, Jr., age 68, of Stratford, CT passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 in St. Vincent’s Medical Center, Bridgeport. Michael was born in Yonkers, NY on October 24, 1954, a son of the late Michael Camerino and Frances (Bonacci) Camerino of Sratford. He attended Gorton High School in Yonkers, NY and graduated in 1972. He recently worked in security for Westchester Country Club in Rye, NY for fifteen years, where he built many friendships. Michael enjoyed both playing golf and watching it, however his greatest enjoyment was found in the time he spent surrounded by family and friends, especially his grandchildren, whom he adored. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his beloved mother Frances, other survivors include his children, Michael Camerino, III and Matthew Camerino, both of Carmel, NY and Lauren Camerino of Manchester, CT and their mother, Rosanne (Bobb) Camerino, his cherished grandchildren, Gianna and Michael IV, his loving sister, Elizabeth Camerino-Schultz and her husband Geoffrey of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and their children, Cristina Costa of Fairfield, CT and Geoffrey Schultz of Shelton, CT,  his brother, Frank Camerino and his wife Melissa of Shelton, CT and their children, Frank Camerino of Oxford, CT and Jake and Mia Camerino of Shelton, CT, as well as several additional nieces and nephews.

Friends may greet the family on Friday, June 23, 2023 from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
