Obituary of David Savo
David Savo, age 68, of Derby, beloved husband of Pamela Puglisi Savo, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 10, 2023 with his loving family by his side. Born on December 27, 1954 in Bridgeport, he was a son of the late Angelo and Maria Alfano Savo. A graduate of Bullard Havens Technical School, Dave was a retired employee of Sikorsky Aircraft with over 36 years of dedicated service.
Dave was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and his smile would light up the room when his granddaughter was by his side. The unconditional love he gave and the memories they created will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. In addition to spending time with his family, Dave also enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Ansonia Rod and Gun Club.
In addition to his beloved wife of 47 years, Pam, survivors include his two loving children, a son, Dave Savo and his wife Jennifer of Naugatuck, a daughter Laurie Flynn and her husband Frank of Derby, a cherished granddaughter, Selina Flynn, a brother, Michael Savo and his wife Carol of Salem, VA, a sister, Rita Mattingly and her husband Christopher of Seymour, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will take place on Thursday June 15, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Lawn Cemetery South, Huntington. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday from 4 – 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Those desiring may make a memorial contribution in Dave's name to a charity of your choice.
