Obituary of Lucille Savoie

Lucille F. Savoie, 83, of Shelton passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Leonard Savoie.

 

Lucille was born December 13, 1939 in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Frank and Dimond Bydairk. She served as a Pharmacy Technician at Park City Hospital and later at Bridgeport Hospital until her retirement. Lucille was actively involved with the St. Peter’s Royalaires Drum Corp, becoming a mom to many, as she chaperoned countless events with the corps that her children were a part of. Lucille always loved a good bargain, be it through tag sales or clipping coupons. Lucille loved spending time with her family and friends, and liked to have a good time.

 

In addition to her husband Leonard, she is survived by her son Gerald Savoie and his wife Cindy; her daughter Karen Sobbell and her husband Michael; grandchildren Janine Savoie and her fiancé Michael Ciociola, Justin Sobbell and his wife Sabrina, Leigh Savoie and her fiancé Bryan Goulart and  Samantha Sobbell; her brother Frank Bydairk Jr. and his wife Beverly; her Uncle Eddie Vizzo; nephews Ronald Mayne and his wife Donna, Robert Mayne and his wife Kathi and their daughters Noelle and Allison.

 

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters Rose Marie Bydairk and Geraldine Mayne and her nephew Steven Mayne.

 

A Celebration of the Life of Lucille Savoie will be held on Thursday, May 4th 2023, at the Huntington United Methodist Church, 338 Walnut Tree Hill Rd in Shelton from 5pm to 7pm.  A short service will be held at 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, gifts in Lucille’s memory may be made to Autism On the Seas – autismontheseas.com/donate or CT Hospice – hospice.com/donate.
