Obituary of William J. Balint

William J. Balint, age 84, of Trumbull passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 11, 2023 with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Kathleen Zawesza Balint. William was born in Bridgeport on January 8, 1939, a son of the late Joseph and Anna Macova Balint and was a longtime resident of Trumbull.

After graduating from High School, Willie joined the United States Marine Corps and proudly served his country. He worked at Jenkins Valve as a Quality Engineer, while simultaneously working as a partner in Ottavio's Catering. To say that William was a hard worker is an understatement. He loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed taking care of his three grandchildren. Willie also had one grand dog he enjoyed yelling at for barking too much - Charlie Passero, they were the best of buds.

He is survived by a loving daughter Paula Passero and her husband Philip; a son William Balint and his wife Corrine; a daughter-in-law Melanie Balint; a sister Sr. Bernice Marie, three cherished grandchildren Philip Connor Passero, Brianna Kathleen Passero and Alexandria Rose Passero and a sister-in-law Cheryl Primavera as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife Kathleen, he was predeceased by his son Michael Balint, a brother Joseph Balint, and two sisters Elizabeth Seliga and Mary Malyska.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 11:00 am in St. Catherine of Sienna Church, 220 Shelton Rd., Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Thursday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Entombment with Military Honors will take place in St. Michael Cemetery, Garden Mausoleum, Stratford.
