Obituary of Beverly A. Palazzo

Beverly A. Burnett Palazzo, age 87, beloved wife of Donald Palazzo of Stratford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 5, 2023 with her loving family by her side. Born in Middletown, NY on June 5, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Elizabeth (Crosby) Tether and James Burnett and was a longtime resident of Stratford.

Beverly devoted countless hours volunteering at the Ella Grasso Center Thrift Store & Auxiliary group, the Barnum Festival and Swim Across the Sound. Along with her husband, she enjoyed trips to Aruba, Maine and New York Yankees Spring Training and was one of the original members of the Sound Tigers Booster Club. Beverly was a caregiver to her family, especially her special angel Cheryl, and a loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her loving husband Donald of 68 years, survivors include two daughters, Deborah Madar and her husband David and Donna McDaniel and her husband Allan, two grandsons, Michael Madar and his wife Elizabeth and Alex Marcus as well as two cherished great grandchildren, Katherine and John Madar. She was predeceased by her daughter, Cheryl Palazzo, a brother, James Burnett and two sisters, June Raslavsky and Sharon DelVecchio.

All are invited to meet directly in St. James Church, 2070 Main St., Stratford on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may greet the family on Wednesday (TODAY) from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road , Trumbull .
