Obituary of James J. Higgins Jr.

James J. Higgins Jr., age 63 of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 21, 2023. Born in Bridgeport on May 1, 1959, he was the son of the late James J. Higgins Sr. and Lorraine Pilotti Higgins.

Jim graduated from Notre Dame Catholic High School, Class of 1977 and attended the Culinary Institute of America, James was a Chef by trade. He was formerly employed by the former Valley's Steak House in Stratford and most recently by Teiton Pines Country Club in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Survivors include his devoted sister, Patricia Higgins-Borges, loving nephew Anthony Borges and niece Karlie Borges, as well as many cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, James was predeceased by his brother-in-law, John L. Borges Sr and his stepmother, Mina Higgins

A memorial service celebrating James's life will take place on Saturday, June 10, 2023 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Stratford.
