Obituary of Loretta Girotto

Loretta Roma Girotto, age 86, beloved wife of Atanasio Girotto, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 with her loving family by her side. Born in Frosinone, Italy on September 24, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Felice and Rosa Paniccia Roma.

Loretta was a very hard-working and strong women, who always gave of herself to help others. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, who always was there with love and support for her family. The values she taught and unconditional love she gave, will forever live in the hearts of all who knew her.

In addition to her beloved husband Atanasio, survivors include her two loving sons, Massimo Girotto and Franco Girotto and his wife Melissa, four cherished grandchildren, Christopher, Thomas, Gabriela and Alessandra, a brother, Mario Roma and his wife Maria, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Ada Roma and her husband Angelo.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. in St. Margaret's Shrine, 2523 Park Ave., Bridgeport. Entombment will follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
