Obituary of Antonio M. Pereira

Antonio M. Pereira, age 83, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of the late Rosalina Machado Pereira, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 13, 2023. Born on February 13, 1939 in Chaves, Portugal, he was a son of the late Miguel Pereira and Amelia Martins Pereira. Along with his family, they immigrated to the United States and settled in Bridgeport.

A hard-working man, he was a retired construction laborer having worked for Waters Construction and Dalling Construction. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He cared deeply for his family and will be missed by all.

Survivors include his four loving children, Maria Fernanda Santos and her husband Paul, Amelia Pereira, Carlos Pereira and his wife Cheyenne and Maria Isabel Martins, four cherished grandchildren, Rosalina Santos, Jacinda Pereira, Cristiana Santos and Penelope Pereira, two sisters, Fatima Vinhais and Idalinda Barreira, as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 429 Huntington Road, Bridgeport, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
