Obituary of Joyce A. Dentato

Joyce A. Dentato, age 80 of Stratford passed away peacefully from this life with loving and caring cousins by her side on January 5, 2023. Joyce was born in Bridgeport on April 4, 1942 and was the eldest child of the late Vito J. Dentato, Sr. and Maria (Rainone) Dentato. She was also predeceased by her brother, Vito J. Dentato. Jr.

Joyce attended Central High School and worked for O'Keefe Cadillac in Westport, and later in life acted as caregiver for her mother while also working at CVS. The Dentato family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Joyce's primary caregiver and cousin Laura Healey and husband Thomas, as well as her cousins Anna Maria, Daniel, and Robert Biagioli, and her favorite second-cousin Katherine Healey, all who provided never-ending compassion, care, love, and companionship to her for many years.

In addition to her cousins, Joyce is survived by her sister-in-law Patricia Dentato of Stratford, nephew Michael Dentato of Chicago, niece Denise Mather of Stratford, great nephew and great niece Andrew and Jillian Mather of Stratford, many other first and second cousins, as well as her life-long friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine's Cathedral, 359 Washington Ave., Bridgeport. Entombment will follow in St. Monica's Mausoleum at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
