Obituary of Lucille C. Giannini

Lucille C. DeCesare Giannini, age 99, of Bridgeport, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at Regional Hospice in Danbury with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 65 years to the late Henry Giannini. Born in Bridgeport on June 2, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Casaburo) DeCesare, and was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport before moving to The Cascades in Bethel.

Lucille began her career as a legal secretary at the age of 16 and worked at the same law firm for over 60 years before her retirement. She always loved a good party and enjoyed dancing with her husband and playing cards. Some of her fondest memories were from the winters spent with her husband in Florida. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

Survivors include her loving son, Duane Giannini and his wife Deborah of Newtown, five grandchildren, Kristin Giannini, Jason Giannini (Laura), Amy Lyddy (Ryan), Alison Farrell (David) and Amanda Caparosa (James) and eight cherished great grandchildren, Jeffrey, Lillliana, Molly, Emma, Olivia, Jocelyn, James and Joseph as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey Giannini, a daughter-in-law Diana Giannini and two brothers, Patrick and Edward DeCesare.

A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Monroe. Friends may greet the family on Friday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
