My heart is with you and your family, Sue-Ellen. Veda was an angel in my Aunt Mickey’s life and it meant a lot to me to see her and your father at Mickey’s funeral. I will always think of her fondly not only through Mickey’s stories but in my own memories, as a kind face that calmed my nerves during my first year of teaching, at Brien McMahon.

Veda had the most gentle spirit, accompanied by the inner strength of a thousand angels. She was a symbol of love to everyone who met her. On behalf of everyone in upstate New York, our sincere and truly heartfelt condolences to her entire family.

I used to tease Veda when she heard something funny at Brien McMahon. You would see the chuckle forming but she used to look around to see if she could bust our laughing. If I was about to tell her something funny I'd say permission to laugh Veda. She really was the depiction of a kind, loving, caring person. A very special woman indeed. My condolences to you Sue Ellen and the rest of your family. She will be missed.

My mother was the kindest, most loving person I know. She will be greatly missed by her family. Her passing is a devastating loss to her children and grandchildren, but it is because of the strength and love she instilled in us that she will always be in our hearts and by our side. Sue O’Shea
