Obituary of Virginia Marie Mullin

Virginia Marie Mullin, 70 of Oxford, Connecticut, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, peacefully in her Oxford home that she shared with her husband, Robert Mullin. Ginger was born November 2, 1951, in Bridgeport, Connecticut to Rose Mastroni and Joseph Caserta. Ginger would go on to earn her nursing degree from the University of Bridgeport which led to a successful private nursing career where she specialized in patients with pulmonary issues.  Ginger was beautifully artistic; she could envision a crafting project and make it come to life. From felting Thomas the Train to constructing Halloween costumes for her children and grandchildren, she would amaze us. Ginger enjoyed watching her three children play soccer in their younger years and never missed a game.

Ginger is survived by her husband, Robert Mullin, her two children, Rob Mullin and Paisley Bennett along with their spouses, Melanie Mullin and Charles Bennett, her grandchildren, Grant Mullin, Caden Bennett and Piper Bennett and her nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; Rose and Joseph Caserta, her oldest son, Shayne Caserta and her two siblings, Michael “Mickey” Caserta and Barbara Tierney.

Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 from 4-7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. A prayer service will take place on Wednesday at 6:45 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be held privately in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to a charity of your choosing.
