Obituary of Francisca Campos

Francisca DaSilva Campos, age 68, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of Goncalo Campos Jr., passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 25, 2022, surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born on January 22, 1954, in Seara Velha, Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Jose DaSilva and Ana Duque DaSilva.

Francisca was a retired administrative assistant for the City of Bridgeport Board of Education, having worked at Read School for many years before her retirement.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family creating a lifetime of love and memories. Her smile would light up a room when her grandsons were around, and she was so proud of all the boys. Francisca was always there to give advice to her family and just be there to listen. The unconditional love she gave will forever live in their hearts. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her beloved husband of 43 years, Junior, survivors include her two loving daughters, Nicole Campos Medeiros and her husband Nelson and Jacklyn Campos-Rodrigues and her husband Jack, four cherished grandsons, Geoffrey, Alexandre, Jax and Jordan, all of Monroe, four siblings, Julia Martins, Armando DaSilva, Francisco Jose DaSilva and Gloria Batista and her husband Manuel; sisters and brothers-in-law, Fatima Campos, Joao Vitorino, Vitorino Campos and his wife Anabella and Joe Campos and his wife Jennifer, as well as several nieces, nephews and Godchildren.

She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Jolyn Campos, a sister, Maria Vitorino, father and mother-in-law, Goncalo and Odete Campos, brother-in-law, Fernando Martins, and sister-in-law Vera Campos.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 429 Huntington Rd., Bridgeport. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
