Obituary of Harilal A. Shah

Harilal Amritlal Shah was born on 01/15/1928 at Jamnagar India. He died on 05/26/2022 at age of 94 at Trumbull, Connecticut peacefully at home.

He was a banker by profession at Jamnagar, India, social worker, Educator to under privileged children, community work for oswals. He worked with Gandhiji during partition. He opened Tagor society in 1955 & was instrumental in opening separate girls Hostel.

He was quite, funny, familyman but carried a warrior personality. He has been married to Kasturben for last 74 years & moved to USA at age of 55 with his son Mukesh & daughter in law Vibha.

He has 3 sons & their wives, Mukesh-Vibha, Milan-Sudha, Kalpesh- Rashmi, Has 6 Grand kids, Neemit, Neerali, Aakash, Aarti, Chandani & Karina. He has 10 great grandkids, Aaryan, Satyam, Sahana, Soren, Nico, Remy, Maya, Leena, Jay & Aaliyah.

Harilal was one of 5 brothers & 3 sisters. Out of them 2 brothers deceased, Jayantilal, Harshad & 1 sister deceased, Kundan. 2 living brothers are Kantilal & Navinchandra & 2 living sisters are Kanchan & Vinu.

He lived simple life & he was one of lucky person to die peacefully without suffering from any other medical illnesses except Dementia.

All funeral services were held privately.
