Obituary of Hubert Kurman

Trumbull Resident Hubert Digger Kurman, age 84, of Trumbull, died on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Wigan, Lanchashire, England on April 4, 1926, he was a son of the late Richard and Sarah Ellen Powis Jones. Digger was a pilot for the Royal Australian Air Force where he was a competitive boxer for the Air Force. A retired electrician for Otis Elevator, he was also formerly employed by Anchor Travel and had been a travel agent for the last 30 years. He enjoyed traveling around the world and spending time with his family. Survivors include two sons, Ray Kurman of Watertown and Garrick Jones of Australia and a cherished grandson Christopher Kurman. He was pre-deceased by a brother Richard Jones.
