Obituary of Douglas G. Kundrat

Douglas G. Kundrat, age 53, of Shelton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Griffin Hospital with close friends Jackie Rymer, Kathy Palmer and Donald Fonseca at his side. Born in Bridgeport on February 2, 1960, he was a son of the late George T. and Carmela Gabriel Kundrat. Most recently Doug was a tow truck driver for Breezy Point Garage in Stratford and worked for DNM Service Center in Monroe. Previously he worked for many years with the various Buzzs Getty gas stations and Baldwin Technology. Survivors include a sister, Pamela Hutchinson of Stratford, a brother, Joseph R. Kundrat and his wife Cindy of Shelton; niece Elizabeth Ann Hutchinson and nephews Mark Kundrat and his wife Jessica and Michael Kundrat. He also leaves to cherish his memory several aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends he made along the way. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother-in-law, John Hutchinson. Funeral Information Calling hours for friends and family will take place on Saturday, January 11, 2014 in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull starting at 2:00 p.m. followed by a service at 4 p.m. A private burial will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
