Obituary of Fernando Fragoso

Fernando Fragoso, age 94, of Florida and formerly of Bridgeport, beloved husband of the late Deolinda Pereira Fragoso, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 4, 2022 with his loving family by his side. Born on August 15,1927 in Alcobaca, Portugal, he was a son of the late Jose Fragoso and Maria da Conceicao.

Fernando was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who cared deeply for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his loving children, Maria Helena Romero and her husband Juan, Manuel R. Fragoso, Jose P. Fragoso and his wife Rosemary, Martin P. Fragoso and his wife Maria Christina, Manny F.P. Fragoso and his wife Susan, Rosalina Dixon and her husband Justin and Zita Maria P. Bahr, daughter-in-law, Cathy Fragoso, 17 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son. Carlos A. Fragoso.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. directly in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 429 Huntington Rd., Bridgeport. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family at a walk-through visitation on Tuesday from 4 – 7 pm at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Social distance and masks are recommended.
