Obituary of Attorney John C. Kucej

Attorney John C. Kucej, age 73, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Joanne Nails Kucej, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Yale New Haven Hospital, with his family by his side. Born on January 11, 1941 in New York City, he was a son of the late John and Anna Kelco Kucej. A graduate from Fairfield University, he attended The Catholic University of America Law School in Washington DC. After earning his degree in Law, John established his own firm in Waterbury where he practiced for over 45 years. John worked tirelessly his entire life. He enjoyed skiing, fishing, boating, traveling and the beach. He loved spending time with his wife and family. But above all, he treasured the time spent with his grandchildren. In addition to his beloved wife of 47 years, Joanne, survivors include three loving daughters, Jennifer Iaccarino and her husband Michael of Trumbull, Kristine Kucej of Fairfield, and Kara Hiertz and her husband Leonardo of Cheshire, and four cherished grandchildren, Isabella, Michael, Johnny and Scarlett Iaccarino. He will truly be missed by all. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Road, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
