Obituary of Julius A. Giliotti

Julius A. Giliotti, age 76 of Bridgeport, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022 with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 52 years to the late Maryzita (Evanski) Giliotti. Born in Bridgeport on March 8, 1945, he was the son of the late Julius and Angelina (Mazzadra) Giliotti.

Julius worked at Bridgeport Insulated Wire with 50 years of dedicated service before his retirement. He was the family handman and could fix anything with a motor and all things around the house. He loved a good "project" and always made time to help so many people with their projects. He enjoyed gardening, spending time in his yard, playing his guitar, all types of music, and traveling to Vermont. He was a diehard NY Jets fan, but his greatest enjoyment came from cheering on the sidelines at his grandkids many sporting events. Being with his wife, children and grandchildren was most important to Julius especially having family dinners together.

Survivors include his two loving children, John Giliotti and his wife Rachel and Brenda Migliaccio and her husband Miggy, four cherished grandchildren, Mia, Rocco, Isabella and Joseph as well as many brothers & sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was predeceased by a sister, Carol Lynch. He will be missed by all who knew him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will Celebrated on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
